Please tell me I am not the only person who hasn’t bought a single item for Christmas yet. I don’t even know what I’m waiting on. It just hit me yesterday that I have no idea what I’m getting anyone for Christmas. I guess that has to go on my neverending To Do List for the week.
In other news. I didn’t get to do anything on my WIP yesterday, was too busy trying to do some promotional stuff for The Vampire’s Pet. Heads up, On Friday I will be stopping by Julia Barrett’s World http://juliarachelbarrett.net/
Hopefully today I can finish up this rough draft.
Lol, you are so not the only one. I have no decorations up, no presents have been bought. Nada! I don’t worry about it. Like always, the better-half will be scrambling around on the Eve, and I’ll be in bed under covers. ๐ it’s an unspoken agreement between us.
I’m busy running around like a chicken with my head cut off – doing promo – haven’t even opened the Christmas boxes yet. Got the Menorahs out!
Whew. So I’ not alone! I have no decorations up either. Still scratching my head thinking of what my kids need. We already have way too many toys scattered all over the house. They need NOTHING!! Thanks for dropping by ladies.
I went out today for the first time to shop. AHHHH! Okay, deep breath. You see, each year I’m done by Thanksgiving, so I’ve never experienced these crowds. My best friend flies in from England a few days before Thanksgiving and we shop. Then we socialize for a week and eat a lot. This year I had to cancel on her and fell way behind. Next year, she’s a comin’. ๐
So, no, you’re not alone!
I just now bought Christmas presents. Since my little ones were dead set on putting up festive decor the day after Thanksgiving, I’ve been ahead of the glitter curve for a few weeks now, but aside from online shopping, I haven’t bothered. I wish my children would embrace the spirit of the season like I have and NOT want presents…well, maybe that new Kindle I do want that. But other than that, they should follow mom’s example. Right? LOL!
Ciara- I’m done by Thanksgiving too. That’s cool that you’re friend comes in from England so you guys can do a shop til you drop. I’ve lived in England for a while and know how expensive things can be there. Ah, there’s always next year like you said.
A.D-Thanks for stpping by! Honestly I can’t even think of what to get my kids. If anything I want to give away some of the things they have. But yeah, hubby and I don’t want presents, except like you, I’ve been eyeing the Kindle too. My four year is at the age where he associates Christmas with presents, sadly. Hope to get rid of this idea though…
