Never Again!!

Hi. I guess I couldn’t stay away that long. So just an update and a retelling of one the scariest experiences in my life. Right now my family and I made it safely to Germany.

Getting there…. Well all I can say is I never want to take my kids on an airplane or through an airport again. My two year old threw up all over himself on the ride to our connection in Dublin, Ireland. That was horrible, the worst though was the scariest moment ever when my four old, decided he was a grown man and knew where he was going. While my DH is dragging our hand luggage, it was my job to “wrangle” the kids. Both of them decided to go in the opposite direction up a flight a stairs. While I grabbed the two year old and thought the four year old was following because I “ordered” him to do so. I reach downstairs and looked back thinking he as just being slow coming down the stairs. Nevertheless I run back and my heart drops. He wasn’t even there. I go looking for him upstairs and couldn’t find him. So I had to get the nearest authority person and they had to make a security announcement. Seriously I was on the verge of passing out. I was in tears, my entire body was shaking, until a couple of ladies found him. THANK GOD. It’s way too easy to lose kids. Jesus.

Apart from that, everything is okay. Still going to be super busy for a while, while we search for a place of our own. We’re currently staying with my mother in law. And now, sorry for the life story, everyone. But it’s been a stressful couple of days. I hope everyone has been good and experienced nothing like what I described 🙂

Thank goodness you youngling is ok!! I think that happens to ever parent at least once…it did to me and everyone I know! It is the most frightening thing that can happen.

Good luck finding a place soon, you are so brave to move to a whole new country!

    Best wishes! Maureen

Thanks Maureen. I was just amazed at how fast everything happened. This is actually a big problem I’m having with my four year old. He just doesn’t listen and loves to wander off by himself as if it’s some sort of joke. Ugh. I just can’t wait for everything to get back to normal. Take care.

Yikes, indeed. Everything is like twice as hard when you have kids. So much reward but so much stress and anxiety. Bleh, no more traveling for us anytime soon.
