If someone had told me last year that I’d actually pick up a book about two men getting it on, I would have been like “Hell No” Not that I have anything against two men loving each other. I just never thought I’d be interested in reading those books. But damn, I’ve been reading some that really turn the heat up. One of the first ones I’ve read was Beyond Friends, by Xondra Day, yep a fellow EP author. I liked it because it was a bit different, showing the imperfections of two friends on their way to being a couple. Lots of hot male sex, lol.
Blurb: Long time friends and one time lovers, Jack and Rain, are now at a crisis in their relationship. Polar opposites, each harbour romantic feelings for the other, but are afraid to own up to them.
When a tragic event happens in Rain’s life, he looks to Jack to help him pick up the pieces, realizing there has only ever been one man in his life that he has truly loved-Jack. But will Jack return his love? Can they ever be more than just friends?
Love friends to lovers stories 🙂
I was in the same boat as you till I read a Sloan Parker story, it opened a whole new world to me. I’ll have to check this one out.
Yes. I really love this genre now. I thought I’d feel squeemish reading it, but no way. Can’t believe it actually turned me on reading about two men getting it on, lol.
Its okay. It has it moments especially when woman is between them. When I do read this genre it has bondage in it. It not my cup of tea but I read it.
I like it too when a woman is between them, but if it’s the two men, then that’s fine with me as well. Yeah, I’m with you Cinquetta. I like reading BDSM, but I’m not heavily into the bondage stuff. That’s just too much for me.
Delilah, I’m so glad you enjoyed Beyond Friends. It’s always good to hear feedback from readers.
P.S. I also love your books!
Thanks Xondra. Beyond Friends was amazing. I absolutely loved Jack and Rain (especially Rain). Can’t wait to read more from you and yes I’m anxiously waiting on Menage on the Prairie!
